  4. Normandy Farm Bakery

wholesale pickles charlestonChas Pickle Co. would like to welcome Normandy Farm Bakery – they have the pickles!

Normandy Farm was voted City Paper’s 2010 readers choice, Best Bakery in the Charleston Area.  Owner Mike Ray had stopped serving pickles with his sandwiches because he was dissatisfied with his customers response to the horrible little things.   However, when Charleston Pickle Company walked through the door and Mike sampled our pickles his first response was, “Now that’s a pickle, dude.”  His second comment? “Order me some, when can I have ‘em?”   Mike was so enthusiastic I wasn’t upset at all when he reached in,  grabbed a whole pickle and,  munching, crunching, walked away.

  5. Magic Pickle Power!

    February 6, 2011

Calling all comic book enthusiasts and parents with young children.  After much research, the Chas. Pickle Co. would like to recommend a very special book from Scholastic:  Magic Pickle, by Scott Morse.  (We aren’t being clever, the book is really out there and adults and children alike will love it).

The back cover reads, “PICKLE POWER!  Meet the world’s greenest, bumpiest, briniest superhero, The Magic Pickle.  With his feisty sidkick, Jo Jo Wigman, the Magic Pickle faces his worst nightmare:  The Brotherhood of Evil Produce!”  Meet characters like the “Romaine Gladiator, Peashooter, Phantom Carrot, Squish Squash and Chili-Chile Bang Bang.”

We found this book at our local library and are looking forward to more in the series.  We will keep you posted.

  6. Mondo’s Italian Restaurant

    February 3, 2011

Chas Pickle Co. would like to welcome Mondo’s Italian Restaurant on James Island.

Chef/owner Chris Orlando will be serving CPCo’s pickles as sides, as well as, giving them away at his bar. They are going to be consumed so fast I am sure he’s going to have to start charging for them, so get out there now to sample.
